Easter tournament for recreational players
It’s time for the annual Duinwijck Easter tournament for recreational players! Sign up, together with your buddy, for an evening full of easter eggs and fun games at your playing level.
The Easter tournament will take place on Wednesday evening, April 16 from 7:00 PM to 11:00 PM. Registration is possible via this link until April 10.
How does the Easter Tournament work?
- In the Easter tournament you play the entire tournament with the same (recreational) partner.
- You can register for one category: women’s, men’s or mixed doubles.
- You play in groups at your own level, which you fill in on the registration form: Basic (0-3 years of experience) Average (3+ years of experience), Advanced (advanced training/9th division), Strong (7th/8th division).
- If you and your partner are of different levels, you play at the level of the strongest player.
- If you don’t have a partner, don’t panic, enter ‘wanted’ on your registration form next to the name of player 2, and we will pair you with someone of your own level who also does not have a partner.
- The recreational committee has the right to refuse certain teams if we consider them too strong. If this applies to you, you will be told in time, so that you still have time to register again with another partner.
- If you play with or against a parabadminton player, adjusted rules will apply for this match. These rules will be explained by the player in question before the match. The starting point is: normal what can be done normally, adjusted what needs to be adjusted.
- Games are played on time. A match lasts approximately 10 minutes. The points continue to be counted as long as time runs. The match ends when the bell rings. A draw (e.g. 33-33) is also possible.
- In principle, we play with feather shuttles, which are made available by the recreational committee. If the majority in your group wants to play with nylon shuttles, that is also allowed.
- After the group matches there is a short break so that the recreational committee can draw up the competition schedules for the final rounds. The matches in these final rounds also last approximately 10 minutes. If there is a tie when the bell rings, the deciding point will be played.
How can you participate?
- Register no later than April 10 via this link or via the form at the bar.
- There are no costs associated with your participation.
- On Wednesday, April 16, you must report to the competition table no later than 7 p.m. There you will hear how the competition schedule works.
The first matches start at 7:15 PM. - The awards ceremony will take place in the canteen around 11 p.m.
