Easter tournament for recreational players

It’s time for the annual Duinwijck Easter tournament for recreational players! Sign up, together with your badminton partner, for an evening full of matches at your own level.

The Easter tournament will take place on Wednesday, March 25 from 7:00 PM to 11:00 PM. You can sign up  via this link until March 20.

How does the Easter Tournament work?

  1. You play the entire tournament with the same (recreational) partner.
  2. You and your partner can be a women’s, men’s or mixed double team.
  3. You play in groups, based on your skills level, which you choose on the registration form:
    1. Basic (0-3 years of experience)
    2. Average (3+ years of experience),
    3. Advanced (advanced training/9th division),
    4. Strong (7th/8th division).
If you and your partner are of different levels, you play at the level of the strongest player.
  4. If you don’t have a partner, write ‘wanted’ for player 2 on the sign-up form and the organisers will match you with someone at your level.
  5. If you play with or against a parabadminton player, special rules will apply for that match. These rules will be explained by the player before the match. The main idea: normal rules when possible, adapted rules when needed.

Game format

  1. Matches are played on time. Each match lasts about 10 minutes. Points are counted as long as the time runs. The match ends when the bell rings. A draw (e.g. 33-33) is also possible.
  2. Normally feather shuttles are used, provided by the committee. If most players in your group prefer nylon shuttles, that is allowed.
